Launching of VOP Television Network.

VOP TV NETWORK, a Community TV channel, launched its maiden 24/7 broadcast in Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 14th August 2002, in Pakistan. Being one of its own kinds the TV programs attracted a wide range of viewer ship from across Pakistan, and it continued to spread and flourish in all parts of the country through cable network.
Our vision is to reach the un-reached and to be a voice for voiceless through this channel. Most of the programme like songs, dramas, entertainment programme, movies, interviews, talk shows, conventions, seminars and others are established from our local Communities resources are in addition to the material we receive from various organizations and institutions from different countries around the world, these programmes are translated into various different regional languages of communities for better understanding.
Prior to launch of the VOP TV spreading Good News through electronic media was unthinkable in Pakistan as any such venture is an anathema to hard-line religious groups. The TV channel came under intense pressure from fundamentalist, who wanted the TV channel to close. The religious radicals in Pakistan hurled threats to VOP media crew and cable operators in a bid to flop VOP TV. Five head ends along with offices were ransacked by Islamic militant groups. Undeterred by pressure from radical groups, the TV continued the spread the Word of God to believers in Pakistan.
Year 2005 saw relocation of VOP TV in the United Kingdom. VOP TV Media UK Limited has bought air time to broadcast its programs on Satellite in collaboration with different TV channels, via Sky Digital through Euro Bird Satellite since to-date.
Increase in partner organizations necessitated the need to have our own 24/7 TV channel since most of our viewer ship comprises Christian, Muslim Hindu, Sikh and other religious and ethnic communities around the Globe. Programs on the themes of Apologetics and cross-cultural understanding in several languages including English, Urdu, and Hindi etc. drew overwhelming response from targeted viewers. This is the very first Christian, Communities channel for Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, French and English speaking community.
In 2008, Voice of People media UK Ltd. moved application for TV License issuing authority, OFCOM UK to ensure that afore-mentioned communities could continue watching our regular programs 24/7 in their indigenous languages. We are pleased to inform you that we secured a TV license under the name of All Communities Together (ACT TV). LICENCE NO: TLCS 1336 BY OFCOM UNITED KINGDOM.
On 20th August 2010 VOP MEDIA UK LIMITED has launched ACT TV broadcasting 24/7 transmissions across the globe. Please check the Satellite & Footprint which covers your area. The gradually we are going to add Satellites so that it will available across the world.
